The photos, shot at MIN flower market in Nice on the 10th December, show the players holding poses related to their positions. So the boys are not only eye candy you see but they are also showing the body in action. Basically it's a must for fans of the club and of the game generally and if you have a thing for well-oiled, well-honed sportsmen without their clothes on you'll probably quite like it too.

The calendar is the brainchild of RNCA’s PR and marketing manager, Lucy Luger, who got the idea after seeing the famous Stade Francais’ Dieux du stade calendar and realising the Nice boys were good looking enough to be in one of their own. “I know women will like it,” she says, “but I hope men will too."

It's a great time to be getting behind the Nice boys as 2010 is shaping up to be a cracking year for them. After a brilliant first half to the season, the team are almost guaranteed a place in the Jean Pratt play-offs, giving them a shot at promotion to the first division. The new year will also see the introduction of Saturday night games at Stade des Arboras, which has been made possible thanks to new flood lights erected with money from Christian Estrosi's administration. The first home game will be against Béziers on the 9th of January. HM
