In the wake of the devasting rally accident which claimed two lives and injured another 18 on the weekend, a number of unanswered questions still remain. During the ongoing investigation the shocked rally driver, who was released from custody yesterday, has blamed a mechanical failure. Low cost airline Ryanair is butting heads with the European Commission in Brussels over proposed laws to increase air travel taxes. Angry rail workers are threatening to strike this week after an SNCF employee was attacked by a passenger travelling without a ticket on a TER train from Monaco to Nice on the weekend.
