Provence & Côte d'Azur: Pleasure and security are keywords on Estrosi's beach watch

Nice's safer beaches

If you've taken a stroll along the Promenade over the past couple of weeks you'll have noticed that the summer season has already started in Nice, with tourists and residents hitting the beach the minute the sun appears. Ensuring that having fun in the sun is not spoiled by any unpleasant incidents, Nice Ville is making an even bigger effort to patrol the public plages this year, launching their lifeguards this weekend.
