Provence Côte d'Azur: Trains stopped dead in their tracks by tragedy

This morning’s TGV n°6172 and the TGV n°2902, which left Nice is currently stopped between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon due to a person being hit at 9.20am.

The police are currently on the scene to access the situation and determine the cause of the terrible accident.

The two trains are expected to arrive two hours at their destination. Other TGV trains are also affected with a dozen to Marseille, Toulon and Nice due to arrive with a delay of between 40 minutes and an hour and a quarter.
