The official line up for the Nice Jazz Festival has just been announced. The summer event will welcome some of the biggest names in the jazz industry to the city. Tens of thousands are expected to attend the musical extravaganza to see, among others, performances from 10-time Grammy winner George Benson, Ben Harper, Esperanza Spalding and all time legends Earth, Wind & Fire. Hyères: Firemen discover hidden supply of weapons and ammunition on routine call-out to villa
Revolvers, shot guns and machine guns were amongst the vast amount of weapons found by firemen last week in a villa in Hyères. Monaco: Pink Ribbon Monaco raises breast cancer awareness with 2nd charity walk
Despite the unpleasant weather, Pink Ribbon Monaco had a fantastic turnout for its breast cancer charity walk on Sunday. The Metropole Hotel and the Monte Carlo Casino even showed their support by illuminating pink for the occasion. Amid apparent division in the Alpes Maritimes regarding the introduction of the four-and-a-half day week, Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi has opted to postpone the changes until 2014. Police in the Alpes Maritimes now have a discreet way of catching drivers who exceed the speed limit. Able to detect the speed of passing cars, the new RMNG radar is being tested on 20 security vehicles in France this week.
