New boat service for St. Maxime residents

A new green boat service is to be opened at the beginning of the summer season between Saint Maxime and Saint Tropez, providing discounted transport for residents of the area. The move came as an effort to reinforce ties and transport routes between the two towns.

Other perks to the new deal include less traffic and benefits for the environment, as there will be fewer cars on the road as a result.People will be able to purchase return tickets on a green boat for eight euros, as opposed to the regular 13 euro rates. The discount is only available for yearly residents of Saint Maxime, not tourists or visitors.

A similar deal already exists for people who work in the area. They can use the boat service for six euros, half the price of a normal ticket.Residents of Saint Maxime who wish to use the boat must bring documents pertaining to their residency in the area to the Town Hall to receive a ticket.

The service will open on Thursday the 21st of June.
