Provence & Côte d'Azur: A range of cultural events in march for students

The Student Life of Nice

The celebration “Museums in March” was launched yesterday evening at the Palais Lascaris, offering young students of the Côte d’Azur a month to discover a diverse range of cultural events.

Throughout the month of March, a total of 32 events will be held in numerous venues across Nice, including the Théâtre National, the Musée d'Art Naïf, Villa Masséna and MAMAC. The program proposes a contemporary and innovative insight into culture, and the aim is to broaden and revitalise the artistic interest of the young generation of Nice.

The operation has been elaborated by a student association within the Sophia Antipolis University of Nice, which has been in close collaboration with cultural museum projects in and around the Côte d'Azur capital. This year, the occasion will take the theme of "Contraste et Vous" and comprise a host of artistic experiences such as theatre, dance and music. The event will offer blends of contemporary art, science, street art, and fine art.

This month marks the eleventh consecutive year of the celebration, and since being founded in 2001, it has drawn in an impressive 150,000 visitors. The university hopes that students and young people will benefit from the cultural diversity offered by the museums around Nice.
