Provence & Côte d'Azur: Celebrities never seem to be more than a stones throw away this summer
Stars soak up the sun in Saint Tropez
Saint Tropez has been at the heart of this rich and famous melting pot, overflowing with heiresses and music moguls. Late last month, party goer and new-to-the-scene DJ Paris Hilton was languishing in the sun with her sister Nikki Hilton. During their trip they certainly weren't shy of attention, the famous pair were spotted mimicking the iconic Titanic pose at the front of their yacht.
The Hilton sisters weren't the only one's to be fooling around on the open sea. Earlier this month, TV star David Walliams tweeted that he and Elton had exposed their 'derrières' to a passing yacht on which Simon Cowell was relaxing with his ex-fiancé and pop superstar Sinitta. Meanwhile, for a lucky few, Rihanna was spotted speeding on a jetski in mid-July as she took time off from her busy schedule to tour the Riviera on a yacht with friends. Kate Moss and husband Jamie Hince were also making a splash in early July after they were seen leaping off their yacht together.
Just this week, Monday 13th August, American music record producer Quincy Jones was seen with a mystery brunette as he treaded the walkways of Saint Tropez to board his yacht. The 79-year-old music mogul, worth over 200 million euros, is one of the latest global music icons to visit the pretty seaside town.
Whether you love them or hate them, Jedward - runners up in Britain's X Factor competition, brought their iconic hairstyle to Saint Tropez to relax with model and American actress Tara Reid. The happy threesome were seen boarding a yacht together late last month.
Local clubs have played host to their share of pop royalty this summer. Chris Brown held a concert in Gotha nightclub at the end of July and in the same club on Tuesday 14th, Jamie Foxx brought the house down during an epic concert.
Presidents of past and present have also been drawn to the glamour and wealth of the south during the holiday season. Sarkozy, Chirac and Hollande have all been resting on the Côte d'Azur, but we think it's safe to say that these three haven't been partying it up on a yacht together.
