After its first opening in 2007, the Antibes Yacht Show has been a growing success, appealing to a host of professionals in the yachting industry. Open to both the general public and professionals, the boat show was inaugurated on Thursday by the Mayor of Antibes,  Jean Leonetti. Thousands of boating enthusiasts from around the world came together to discover a diverse array of nautical treasures. There was also the opportunity for vendors to exhibit and sell a variety of boating related merchandise. The show’s new partner, Modena Motors Cannes, also made an appearance, displaying some of their prestigious cars.

Daily activities included seminars aimed at professionals in the yachting industry covering a range of issues including law regulation and protecting the environment.

The event also featured a range of privilege areas including an exclusive captain’s lounge, where official show caterer  Christophe Leroy offered breakfast and lunch everyday. Additional lounges were also available to crew and press members.

Due to strong demand, the show this year opened it’s doors until 9 pm on Friday, giving visitors the opportunity to explore a multitude of boats, indulge in a glass of champagne and enjoy some live music from local bands.

Exhibitors were also welcomed with an elegant cocktail evening giving them the chance to mingle as well as negotiate in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The show came to a close on Sunday with a Yacht Hopping Day.
