Rail disruption in Alpes-Maritimes this weekend

There will be widespread disruption of the rail network in the Alpes-Maritimes this weekend, with limited services due to works.

Line between Cannes and Nice will be affected

The French rail operator SNCF announced that there would be no trains running between Cannes and Nice between 11.30am Saturday and 6.30am Monday.

The railway network engineers Ferré de France are working on the construction of a third track between Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer.

President of the Conseil General Eric Ciotti, yesterday made previsions for an increase in the number of buses operating between the two cities. There will be 10 per cent more no. 200s running on Saturday than normal and 50 per cent more running on Sunday.
