Rail delays and cancellations caused disruption in the region today.

National rail operator SNCF envisaged minimal disruption across the network, with a predicted three out of four services on the TER local trains and TGV expected to be running as usual. However, it was a different story on the platforms today where local trains running between Monaco and Nice have been far and few between.

For those travelling home this evening, rail networks should have improved, with more frequent trains expected during rush hour this evening. Rail traffic operations should return to normal tomorrow morning after 8am when the strike is due to finish.
