Provence & Côte d’Azur: Two anti-globalisation protesters stage unusual rope

Pro-Tibet rope protest

Two pro-Tibet protesters have been taken in to custody this morning following an anti-G20 campaign suspended from ropes at the Cannes train station.

The protesters were seen suspended from the roof of Cannes station Copyright Shcherbako

Just before the arrival of Chinese President Hu Jintao, the men attached themselves to the roof of Cannes station with rope, sporting banners reading 'Free Tibet' and 'Hu Jintao Assassin'.

Police quickly intervened and arrested the pair.
