Update: Missing woman found in Grasse
The search has been widened for a 39-year-old lady who went missing from her family home in Grasse on Saturday afternoon. Police say that an extensive search of the area is underway.
According to police, Karine Marino was last seen leaving her Grasse home by foot late Saturday afternoon. A short time after she left, her husband reportedly received a number of worrying text messages and raised the alarm.
Karine has previously spent time in a local psychiatric clinic.
Search teams and a helicopter are scouring the area in attempt to find the missing mother.
Investigators in Grasse are appealing for witnesses. People with any information regarding Mrs Morino’s whereabouts are urged to contact police on 04 93 40 91 91.
Update:
The body of Karine Marino was found at around 10am this morning near the Foulon canal in Grasse.
Authorities are yet to determine her cause of death, but initial reports suggest it is not suspicious.
