New underground car park for Cannes La Bocca
The final phase of La Bocca market's lengthy renovation has finally been announced with plans to build a new underground car park. The modern parking facility aims to tackle the town's persistent parking problem and modernise the town centre.
The parking project, which is set to get underway in 2015, was unveiled by Cannes Town Council during a meeting on Monday 23rd April. The innitiative is expected to relieve congestion and improve traffic problems which continue to plague the region, as well as expanding the square, all transforming it into a bustling town centre.
The 550-space underground structure will be built on the premises of the existing post office which, according to initial plans, is expected to be rebuilt a few blocks away.
