Provence & Côte d'Azur: Delta airlines makes changes to improve passanger comfort
Flying high
Fully reclining bed seats await BusinessElite passengers flying between the United States and the South of France. The seat-beds—almost two meters in length and reclining 180 degrees—come as part of the airline’s plan to improve and redesign its global supply of products and services.
"Business travelers frequently using Delta told us that the comfort of seat-beds with direct access to the corridors is a must on transatlantic flights," said Frank Jahangir, Vice President and Director of Sales EMEA of Delta.
Besides increasing privacy and access to the cooridor, the seats will be equipped with large, new pillows, bedding, a personal digital entertainment system, an individual reading light, and storage space for shoes.
And it’s not only the ‘Elite’ passengers that are getting an upgraded deal. Delta also launched its new premium economy class, Economy Comfort, from flights from Nice. With 10 inches of extra leg room and 50 per cent more of an incline, comfort on transcontinental flights should improve considerably. Economy Comfort passangers will also receive free alcohol on board in addition to the other services provided.
