Nice registered an average of 22.9°C for the month. The last time the thermometer reached so high in September was in 1987, with 23.4°C. Meanwhile, the sea made it to a balmy 25°C on Tuesday 27th.

Enjoy it while it lasts though, because according to meteorologists, next week conditions are expected to deteriorate.
