Rihanna is currently living it up in the south of France

Soaking up the summer sunshine, Rihanna has been photographed shopping in Cannes, followed by fans desperate to get a glimpse of the musician. A host of people, including former US basketball star Magic Johnson, have followed her out to the south of France and climbed onboard her luxurious yacht, with one surprise invitee - ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Rihanna split with the abusive R & B singer in 2009 but rumours are beginning to circulate that they were more than friendly with each while yachting around the Mediterranean. However, a bandaged foot looks set to halt her frolicking, with the star tweeting today (Wednesday) that she dropped a glass bottle on it while playing bartender to her buddies.

In the wake of Chris Brown came rapper Ludacris, who's shooting a last minute music video with Swizz Beatz. The video plans to feature a flashy red McLaren sports car which has been driven around Cannes by Lewis Hamilton attracting much attention. The car will cruise on the set for the video by the Formula One driver, another celebrity to have touched down on the Riviera.

If that isn’t enough, American Pie actress Tara Reid is in the area again too (after a visit during the Cannes Film Festival), and was this time admitted to the hospital in Nice after apparently hurting her back on a jet ski.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Titanic star Leonardo di Caprio has travelled by helicopter to Saint Tropez.

It is, after all, summer in the French Riviera!
