Cannes company to manage G20

A Cannes based company has been given the task in organising accommodation for next year’s G20 Summit.

the Palais des Festivals will host the G20 Summit in Cannes next November

Be in Beyond set up in 2006 by Stéphane Filone and Stephane Teboul has been commissioned by the French Foreign Ministry to find a hotel room for the likes of Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy. The company will be closely working with the G20 General Secretariat.

A great deal of pressure will now be put on the shoulders of Filone and Teboul, with an event of this magnitude there is no margin for error. However the fledgling company has built up a solid reputation in the last four years turning over an annual revenue of eight million euros.

Having previously arranged logistics and accommodation for the NATO summit in Strasbourg in 2009 and the African Leaders Summit in Nice earlier this year the group has experience in managing such a large delegation.

Before work begins in earnest the group will conduct a census of hotels in the area ranging from Mandelieu-Cannes airport to Nice. "This phase will take us several weeks,” Abdelkrim Rguibi director of Be in Beyond said. “Because it is not just a census. Several audits will be conducted to assess the quality of hotels. We will also be negotiating prices with the hotels. We want an agreement before the event that the rates to be charged should not be the same as those at the Film Festival. "
