On 23rd September, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and special guest Ronnie Wood, guitarist of the Rolling Stones, were welcomed to   Hotel Hermitage in Monaco. The Salle Belle Epoque was transformed into a magnificent bidding room where 40 lots of unique watches were auctioned.

President of Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies and founder of Only Watch Luc Pettavino has said he is absolutely thrilled with the results and could not have asked for a better welcome from the Principality. “With 4.5 million euros raised, the result of the auction is more than exceptional. Only Watch 2011 is the fruit of an excellent collaboration between the watchmakers and the media.”

Mr Pettavino, whose 15-year-old son suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, hopes the proceeds will enable further research and finance the ICE (International Collaborative Effort) scientific project. The ICE project began in 2008 and brings together 15 international teams of researchers and scientists who work on therapeutic solutions for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The auction concluded a worldwide summer tour, where the watches were exhibited in 11 countries around the world.
