The wedding , which was originally planned for the 9th of July, will now take place over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of July 2011. The couple have stated that the reason for the date-change is due to a clash with the IOC summit in Durban , South Africa, which takes place between the 5th and 9th of July and which they plan to attend.

The Prince has expressed that he wishes to make the couple's first foreign visit as man and wife to the new Princess' home country.
