Monaco: Palace announces engagement of HSH Prince Albert II to Charlène Wittstock

Prince Albert to wed his Princess

The Prince’s Palace in Monaco has just announced the engagement of the Sovereign Prince Albert II to his long time girlfriend Miss Charlène Wittstock. HSH Prince Albert, Alexandre, Louis, Pierre, Sovereign of Monaco, Marquis des Baux, was born on 14 March 1958. He is the son of Prince Rainier III, Louis Henri-Maxence-Bertrand (31 May 1923 - 6 April 2005) and Princess Grace, maiden name Kelly (12 November 1929 – 14 September 1982). He officially succeeded his father on 12 July 2005.

Miss Charlène Lynette Wittstock was born on the 25th of January 1978 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and emigrated later to South Africa. Before coming to Monaco, Miss Wittstock was a nursery school teacher. A date for the wedding has yet to be announced.
