Monaco: Public post boxes will be painted red in preparation for the royal marriage

Tiny details changed for big wedding

With the royal marriage now only a month away, Monaco's Palace is making sure that attention to detail is paid to every nook and cranny of the Principality in the run up to the big event.

This extra care and attention even extends to inanimate objects that you might not look twice at if you were walking past them. For example, today the authorities will put into action a plan to paint all the post boxes in the tiny state the same shades as Monaco’s official colours. Slated to be completed by mid-June, the project includes repainting the 72 public post boxes red.
