Monaco: 50 million euros in turnover for maintenance and repair company

Monaco Marine makes Mediterranean waves

For Monaco Marine yachts specialists, 2012 is looking to be a very successful year. By constantly adding more and more repair and refit sites along the Mediterranean coastline, the company is placing itself at the heart of some of the region's busiest and more exclusive ports.

Monaco Marine is predicting a 50 per cent increase on last year's turnover, with an incredible 50 million euros expected. By finding locations alongside popular ports like Antibes and Monaco, the company's 200 strong workforce is tapping into the world's most lucrative yachting market.

The boat market in the north of the Mediterranean is worth an estimated 850 million euros and at least 60 per cent is currently being soaked up by Italian industries. With almost half of the world's boats and yachts harbouring along the Riviera coastline during the summer months, Monaco Marine is perfectly poised to bring some of the profits back to French and Monegasque shores.

The company currently has six ship yards dotted along the Côte d'Azur in Monaco, Beaulieu Sur Mer, Saint Laurent du Var, Antibes, Cogolin and La Ciotat. Antibes is the newest addition to the thriving business which has been up and running for almost two decades.

Specialists in maintenance and repair work on a range of vessels, the company has tapped into the market by offering its repair and refit services to both amateur and professional owners, making them the go-to enterprise for the yachting community.
