Monaco: The Monegasque bank is developing itself as a strong supporter of the arts
Bank backs Monaco museum
The Compagnie Monegasque de Banque is due to sign a contract with Monaco’s New National Museum tonight with the aim of supporting the acquisition and developments of the arts in the Principality. The monetary level of the grant remains unknown but is sure to strengthen the museum’s position as a cultural hub.
The CMB already plays a central role in financing and supporting the arts in Monaco, having backed a number of exhibitions in the Grimaldi Forum, contributed towards the expansion of attractions in the Principality’s oceanographic museum, and is a partner of the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and annual Printemps des Arts festival.
Open since 2010, the eclectic NMNM has grown as a cultural central in Monaco and continues to put on exciting and original exhibitions all year round.
