Italy: Stock your shelves this summer with treats from the Dolcedo market

Dolcedo Market

This summer, the beautiful Italian village of Dolcedo welcomes the whole family to visit their quaint local markets, which are home to delicious seasonal produce and second-hand goods.

Piazza Berti

From stalls proudly harbouring harvests of organic food to those boasting beautiful hand crafted wooden objects, vintage and kitsch items, this market is not to be missed. Located in the centre of Dolcedo village, and taking place every second Sunday of the month (on the fourth also, when there are five Sundays per month) from 9am to 6pm, this day-long event gives the chance to peruse the many stalls waiting to be explored.

In the main square, Piazza Berti, the delicious aromas of traditional food will tickle the tastebuds and leave your appetite well and truly whetted. Expect stalls to be laden with organic and natural treats, including olive oils, cheese, sugarless cakes, bread, fresh vegetables, jams, honey, sauces and lots more.

Finally, a second hand market will take place at the same time, brimming with antique and modern vintage goods, including jewellery, furniture, books and toys.

A market in Dolceacqua, taking place the last Sunday of the month, is another opportunity to pore over the many stalls.

So don't miss out on these fantastic local markets. There is something for everyone!

The Dolcedo Market article is nice but you don't say where the city is located.
