Boots products coming to a Carrefour near you!

In just 6-8 months, Boots' very-own formulated beauty product will be sold in a Carrefour store near you © Tangopaso

The agreement was finalised by the top European players in the retail and beauty industries in February. It means that anytime between October and December of this year, a new beauty range “les Cosmetiques” will be hitting the shelves in a shop near you.

As part of the agreement, Boots will create beauty products from their tried and tested formulations, which will then be marketed by Carrefour as their own brand.

This line will include a variety of basic beauty care items like (anti-ageing) creams and facials. Alliance Boots is known to make one of the best anti-ageing formulas retailed at an affordable price.

Alex Gourlay, Chief Executive of the Health & Beauty Division at Alliance Boots, said: “We are delighted to have established this partnership in beauty care between Carrefour and our company. As we investigate healthcare possibilities together in emerging markets, we look forward to creating more opportunities for both organisations.”

Since 2008, the ‘Boots Laboratories’ skincare range has been sold by independent pharmacists in France, however Boots products are by no means available in every French metropole and this is the first time that the British company has focused its efforts in the French market on the Hypermarche (supermarket) sector.

With this new partnership, the company will now expand its reach with its products in more than 15,500 stores under the banner of Carrefour cosmetics.

For those of us filling up our hand luggage with face creams and body lotions at UK airport departure lounges, this is definitely news worth celebrating!
