A weekend rockfall near Casterino has left the town inaccessable by road and the villagers temporarily stranded. Three-thousand cubic metres of rockface were dislodged at around 7am on Saturday morning and has blocked off nearly 50 metres of road.
Miraculously nobody was hurt. Local hoteliers are growing concerned that guests booked to stay in the next few days will not be able to reach them, and local children are currently unable to get to school.
