In the 1920s, artist Marc Chagall decorated a room within the National Theatre of Jewish Art, in collaboration with the Russian revolutionary authorities. These walls have been recovered and reveal a true celebration of events.

For a long time these panels have been hidden from the eyes of the public in reserves at the Trétyakov Gallery in Moscow. His paintings today are considered as a unique masterpiece and the Marc Chagall Museum is happy to present two of these paintings which recreate the vibrant ambience of the National Theatre of Jewish Art from 1922.

The exhibition runs from 5th April to 11th June.
