Conference: Les Accords d'Evian

The Evian Treaty was signed in 1962 and marked the end of the war with Algeria, as the treaty promised a cease-fire and proper negotiations between France and Algeria began.

With a number of different specialists speaking at the conference, participants can get a new insight into the event that happened 50 years ago.

Georges Marc Benamou will begin with the theme ‘Blindness of the state’, Jérôme Hélie will explain the negotiations leading up to the signing of the treaty and Professor Guy Pervillé will discuss the military aspects of the treaty.

Starts at 2pm

At the Theatre National de Nice, Salle Michel Simon
