Services: Railway services across the PACA region will be seriously disrupted until 8am tomorrow

Train strike today

A strike by members of several trade unions means there will be fewer trains operating today in France, with many services being severely disrupted until 8 am tomorrow morning.

The strike started yesterday evening and the French railway company SNCF says details of the trains that are running should have been posted up at all stations in the Var, Alpes-Maritimes and Bouches-du-Rhône departments.

The high speed TGV service has a limited service today with two return services between Paris and Nice, nine between Paris and Marseille, and two from Paris and Toulon.

On the regional TER trains only one in five of the Les Arcs-Nice-Ventimiglia trains are running. The Nice-Breil service is operating one in two trains, and the Marseille-Toulon-Les Arcs has one in three services. There is only one Marseille-Nice intercity service.

Passengers can check availability on line at www.sncf.com for all trains and www.ter-sncf.com/paca for regional services.
