Events: The 16-time Grammy award winner set to rock the stage in Monte Carlo along with other international music icons like Stevie Wonder

Sting to perform at Monaco's Sporting Summer Festival 2011

The Monte Carlo and Rolex Casino has announced that world superstar Sting will headline its annual Sporting Summer Festival this July.

Stings will be performing at the festival hit songs from his 'Symphonicities' album

The news comes as no surprise: the sporting club has a tradition of including huge international stars in their festival line up.

The former front man of The Police, will perform on the 25th of July and his show will feature many songs performed with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra on his 2010 album, Symphonicities. Other songs likely to make an appearance during his set include the classics Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, Englishman in New York, Fragile, Russian and Desert Rose.

Sting has previously played at a few select private events in the PACA region and is no stranger to the Principality. His performance at the Sporting Summer Festival will extend his critically-acclaimed Symphonicity world tour, which had already visited more than half-a-dozen other countries.

In addition to the British musician, the festival will bring numerous other world class performers to its stage in 2011, among them will be American megastars Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

The concerts will runs from the 9th of July until the end of August and the price of the ticket includes a gourmet dinner in the Sporting Monte-Carlo's Salle des Etoiles .
