The rally is organised by the Automobile Club of Nice, one of the oldest clubs in the city, and honours Nice racecar driver Jean Behra. The event kicked off this morning at Place Massena, and last year’s winners, Chan / Siatte from Nice, are back to defend their title driving their Porsche 911 RS (1974).

It is the first historic rally to take part in the CO2 innovation, where every city or village hosting a stage is presented with a tree to plant, offsetting the CO2 emissions of the rally. The great American driver Arutunoff Toly will be guest of honour and present awards at the Beach Opera luncheon.
